Here we are on Friday evening! I love going to the orchard late on a weekday afternoon! They are never crowded and the kids have a ball! We headed out just before 5 to go to Anderson Orchard. I knew they wouldn't be open for long so we quickly got our apple bags and headed to the orchard to pick some Gala apples. One of my favorite varieties. The kids each had a bag to carry their apples in. They had a ball picking apples. I had to keep reminding Justin that he shouldn't pick the apples off the ground. Only pick the apples from the trees! After returning the apples to the truck, we bought corn, appple butter, and some yummy caramel dip for our apples! Then we headed to the playground! What a wonderful end to a busy day!

Here is Justin at his first day of preschool. He was so etranced by all the toys in the playroom that he didn't want to "say cheese" or look at the camera. He had a great day though! I dropped him off at 7:30 and took some pictures. Then I gave him a hug and a kiss and said, "I love you Justin! Bye Bye" He said, "Bye bye." But as I was walking out of the room, I heard him yell "Bye Mommy!" And he waved as I walked away. Melted my heart! His teacher said he never cried and he played all day. He took a nap and when I got there to pick him up, he was outside and dirty as can be! But that's how you measure success at preschool! How dirty he when he comes home! Very successful first day of school! Little guilt and so much love! Jackson starts his 2nd year of preschool on Friday. Hopefully he will be in a good mood! He's been a bear at the sitters! I just hope that he also has a great day on Friday!

Fun at the Zoo
Here is one of the tigers at the Indy Zoo, up close and personal! He is behind glass that he would rub his body up against right in front of the kids. Jackson and his friend Joe, and Sarah all loved it! We had a great time tonight! We went to the zoo tonight because there were free roller coaster rides for members and of course, we love free things! All kidding aside, ever since we went to Disney World, I have been trying to get to the zoo for the free coaster ride during "Animals and All That Jazz." Every night during the Jazz series at the zoo, a different ride is free. We have managed to be here for the free train ride, but not the roller coaster, due mainly to scheduling! But we made it tonight and the kids had a ball! Mom and I took the kids and she and Jackson got to ride the roller coaster first! He screamed the whole time and looked petrified! Then we passed off Justin, and Sarah and I rode the ride. She giggled and laughed and squealed the entire time! Then she and Nannie got on and rode it together one last time!
After enjoying the roller coaster, we headed to the splash park, where we were excited to see Jackson's friend Joe! He and his family were enjoying the evening of Jazz and animals. We hung out at the splash park and let the kids cool off. Then we headed to the forests. We wanted to show Nannie the bats. Lucky for us, the Alaskan Brown Bear and the Tigers were also very active!
It was truly the perfect evening! Only thing missing was Daddy! We missed you!!!!!
