So, I haven't had a lot of time to write lately. Lots of good stories, especially about Jackson and Justin. Sarah is doing so well in 2nd grade! She said the other day that her daddy is nocturnal because he sleeps during the day sometimes. I guess it makes him semi-nocturnal. She loves school and has been doing well in her swimming lessons as well. She is swimming once a week at the YMCA and so are the boys. Justin is also "playing" flag football. He is a hoot! He pretty much refuses to play for the most part. He always has to "go to the bathroom" or he "needs a gummy" so I feed him one gummy at a time on the sideline. Yes, I know it isn't exactly what a good mom should be doing, but he plays better with a little positive reinforcement. He is also doing OK with potty training. He stays dry most of the time, but refuses to stay clean which means Mommy has had to clean up lots of dirty undies!
Jackson LOVES kindergarten. He is a little sponge and just soaks everything up! He loves to writing more than reading, which I know will change soon. He loves finding his "sight words" that he is learning in kindergarten. Recently, Jackson decided to make a trap in our back yard. Why did he make the trap? I have no idea. He decided to take some kite string and wrap it around everything in the backyard. SMILE. That made Mommy so happy. I spent a good 20 minutes unwrapping kite string from branches, trees, swingsets, and toys.
Justin's most recent excitement was yesterday. He decided he wanted to ride his bike, so he put on his helmet and rode the bike for 5 minutes. Then he headed inside with his step-stool in hand and climbed up on the counter, with his helmet on, and got cookies out of the cookie jar. I told Jon we didn't need a cookie jar!
