After our entertaining Mickey and princess experience, we headed down Main Street to go grab a bite to eat and something to drink. We were able to catch some of the show on the castle stage from the bridge to Liberty Square. We also saw some of the "Street Party" that the characters perform. Its sort of like a mini parade and it was lots of fun! We caught a close up look as we moved across the park toward Tomorrowland and the Buzz Lightyear ride. Sarah wanted to ride it one more time and the boys love the ride, so, we of course had our fastpasses and zipped through the line to enjoy one more ride with Buzz. We also were able to see the Monsters, INC show. After Monsters and Buzz, we headed back toward Frontierland where we decided to go and see the Country Bear Jamboree. By this time, it was close to noon and the kids were very tired and starting to get hungry. We had another fastpass for Peter Pan's Flight that we would be using later in the afternoon, but we needed something to keep us going! So after we watched the Bears (exactly the same show as when I was 5) we headed to our very first meal in any park at Walt Disney World! We managed to eat only two Disney meals the entire time we were gone! After our burgers, fries, and drinks, we were ready to take flight with Peter Pan! I love this ride. Its a slow moving boat that takes you high above the streets of London into Neverland! Jackson hated the ride. He was still living in fear since we had forced him to ride Splash Mountain. Poor little boy! After Peter Pan, it was almost 3. We headed down Main Street to get seated for our final parade. The Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade! We got to see Daisy Duck from afar as we were waiting for the parade to start and took a few more pictures of the fall decorations at the entrance! I took it all in! The parade started and once again, we were in great position to get some more character interactions. I think Justin got high fived by Pluto! It was great fun!
Overall we saw 5 parades, 2 fireworks displays, 3 theme parks. We went to Blizzard Beach twice and loved every minute of it! I was of course sad our trip was coming to a close. We headed out of the park as the parade ended. We walked out under the pumpkins, which were carved, "See you real soon!" A signature saying of Mickey Mouse, all the way back to the Mickey Mouse Club days. We jumped on the ferry and I wistfully watched as the castle grew faint in the distance.
We headed to the car. Nice thing, about that day, was we had arrived early enough that we hadn't had to ride the tram in from the parking lot! As we were walking I heard my phone ringing. It hadn't rang almost all week so I looked and decided to answer. It was Lisa Smith asking where we were in the parks. She said they were in line for the haunted mansion. Of course, the one thing we didn't get to do. I told her we were heading out to the hotel but to have a wonderfully magical time!
We hopped into the car and headed back to the hotel for dinner and a break and unfortunately, to pack up! We were heading home the next day. Vacations are wonderful, but they have to end some time.
We still had one more day of fun left planned for Tuesday and as long as we didn't get poured on, we were going to be very happy!
