October 18, 2011--OUR LAST DAY in ORLANDO :(

All good things must come to an end and so did our trip to Disney World. We woke up early on Tuesday because the kids woke us up, not because we were rushing out. We had the room until 12:30 but we also had plans to shop at Target (cheaper Disney souvenirs) and Downtown Disney, have lunch, and go to DisneyQuest. So we ate the last of our eggs and the rest of the leftovers. I made sure not to waste anything if it could be helped, so I think, actually the night before, I squeezed the juice out of at least 10 oranges that we didn't eat! They were the cheapest fruit at the grocery store, one of the things I was really excited about being in Florida for (great oranges and orange juice) and it was a disappointment. But I still got good juice out of it! We had done the vast majority of the packing the night before, so I just had some laundry that I still had time to do and cleaning out the refrigerator which I also still had plenty of time to take care of. We managed to get everything done by 10:30 and so we decided we might as well head out! We said good-bye to our wonderfully spacious hotel room, that had become our temporary home for the last week, and shut the door.

We checked out at the hotel and managed to avoid one last attempt to get us to buys a timeshare on the property. Then, off to Target! I have to admit, I had in my mind that each of us would buy a T-Shirt and then the kids would each get to pick their souvenirs out at Downtown Disney, but the prices at Target were too good to pass up! Each kiddo did get a shirt and so did I. Jon picked out some key chains and the kids each got to pick out a stuffed character of their choice. We brought home Minnie, Donald, and Pluto. I looked and looked for a sweatshirt for myself and never could find one that I liked.

We exited Target, proud of our discounted, Disney purchases and swung up to Downtown Disney, where of course, it started drizzling as we were walking around. Sarah really wanted princesses, so we walked around and finally settled on Princess Rapunzel and a Locked Diary. I picked up a picture frame to complement the one I got last time we were there. I also found a Christmas ornament for our Disney themed tree. Jon set off to purchase our items, including Justin's pick, Bullseye, and Sarah stayed with him. Lucky her, Daddy was feeling generous and he let her pick out another princess. This time she picked out Jasmine. Push Over! Jackson, Justin, and I had made our way to the Lego Store. Jackson ended up picking out two big boy lego sets that were Toy Story related. We were all happy with our purchases!

We were also very hungry and as much as Jon had put up with throughout the week, I felt like we should treat him to a man's meal, so we headed to Hooters! I had found one on the map the night before and we had no problem locating it. So we enjoyed some television, wings, and beer, before our last stop in Walt Disney World, DisneyQuest!
