So after we realized we were going to stay in the blazing hot desert we decided to make the best of it. This morning we enjoyed getting all the laundry done. It was quite the walk but everyone helped out so it worked out well. The kids and Jon played lots of games in the game room while the laundry was getting finished. Foosball, air hockey, pool, shuffleboard, darts (which the kids said were junk) and even a table made to play checkers/chess were all part of the game room and the kids were excited that it was all free!
So they enjoyed the morning. Afterwards we really just hung out by the pool. I did venture down to the river again to take some pictures and put my toes in, but since it was a walk and hotter than blazes everyone else stayed poolside.
We did also enjoy grilling down at the pool, which made it nice for clean-up and nice for Jon. He could cool off while he was cooking. That has been very nice. 3 of the 4 campgrounds we have been at have had grills that we could use instead of messing with our own! They have just been down the way from the campsite but still convenient!
This was a very nice place to stay! It was a nice break from driving for Jon and a calm time before we venture into Southern California and Disneyland!
We are getting out of here tomorrow before they break records. It will be 115 tomorrow. The high today was 111. Peace out Needles! One of the most beautiful places!
