We drove 8 hours from Amarillo to Gallup, New Mexico. On the way, we stopped at a spring that stays 62° daily. It was called The Blue Hole. The kids watched some others jump in and decided they should try it! So we grabbed our suits and 4 of us took the plunge. Jon decided to watch.
Justin jumped from a lower platform near the side. Sarah, Jackson and I jumped from rocks higher up.
Jackson was the bravest and jumped first. Sarah followed quickly. I was very nervous but jumpef, screaming all the way. Then, Justin finally decided to take the opportunity and conquer his fear.
It was refreshing but very cold. Thankfully the air temperature was high 70's. It was pretty early in the morning when we stopped. Close to 9am local time so it wasn't crowded at all.
We finished our drive to Gallup and stayed in a nice RV park, swam and had ice cream! Next up is Williams, AZ and the Grand Canyon!
