We had a perfect weather day for the Grand Canyon! The weather was sunny and warm but not too warm. We started out our day on the Grand Canyon Railway which took us from Williams, Arizona to the Grand Canyon! The train ride was fun with musicians and a cafe car. We actually brought our own food so we avoided that car. The train ride took about 2 hours and 15 minutes from Williams. Although it was fun, it was on the long side but still a great experience!
When we got to the Canyon we had booked a bus tour as well so we didn't have to worry about getting to the different views or about waiting for a shuttle. It turned out great! We were able to go to 2 different lookouts and walk around. Then they dropped us off at one of the lodges near the Depot and the Village so we were able to explore and look around there.
The sights were beautiful. The Grand Canyon is truly amazing.
We hopped back on the train around 3:30 to head back. Although I could have spent a great deal longer there, the kids were done. They did a great job today.
On the way back we got robbed by some wild west cowboys. That was funny too!!
Overall it was a great day!
